Clear IP boundaries in AI operations. Who owns the prompts, the models, the data and the outputs. When agents process data and generate content, ownership gets complicated. Spine keeps the lines clean.

IP boundaries in AI

Four boundaries that stay clear.

When AI agents process data, generate content and make decisions, IP ownership gets complicated. Spine addresses this with clear boundaries at each layer.

  1. Model routing

Your choice of model, your terms with the provider, no vendor lock-in. The model adapter is swappable and per-tenant policy controls the selection.

  2. Data boundaries

Tenant data stays in tenant scope, enforced by the database. Row-level security means isolation is structural, not a convention.

  3. Prompt ownership

AOPs are git-backed YAML files your team writes and signs. They live in your repository, versioned and promoted through your workflow.

  4. Output attribution

Every output is traced to its model, prompt and input through the audit chain. The full decision path is on the record.

Model independence

Your models, your terms, your choice.

The model adapter is swappable. Per-tenant policy controls which models run, where they run and what they cost. No single provider owns your agent operations.

  • Swappable models

Change providers without rewriting agents. The model adapter sits behind a policy-driven router, so switching is a configuration change.

  • Per-tenant policy

Each tenant sets their own model and region rules. One tenant's policy cannot affect another's routing or cost.

  • Candidate chains

Define primary and fallback models per use case. If a provider is unavailable, the next candidate runs under the same governance.

  • Cost tracking

Usage and cost per model per tenant on record. Token counts and pricing are logged so cost attribution is always clear.

  • No training on your data

Spine does not send tenant data for model training. Your data is used for the task you asked for and nothing else.

  • Region-aware routing

Models route to regions that match your data residency. Per-tenant policy controls where processing happens.

What you own

Your work stays yours.

The platform governs your agents. It does not claim what they produce. Here is what belongs to you.

  • Your AOPs

The orchestration profiles your team writes belong to your team. They are git-backed YAML files in your repository, signed and versioned.

  • Your data

Tenant data is yours, scoped and isolated in the database. Row-level security enforces the boundary at every query.

  • Your audit trail

The record of what your agents did is yours to export. Hash-chained entries, approval decisions and evidence packs belong to your tenant.

  • Your evidence

Compliance evidence collected from your operations stays with you. Export it per framework with auditor packs that verify offline.

Portability

Take your agents, your data and your evidence with you.

Spine is cloud-agnostic. AOPs are portable YAML files. Connectors use an open interface. No proprietary agent format. You can move everything.

  • Git-backed profiles

AOPs are YAML files versioned in git. Promotion is a signed tag. The source of truth is your repository, not a vendor database.

  • Open connector interface

Connectors use the MCP standard with real stdio transport. An in-process connector and a remote server are interchangeable.

  • Standard export formats

Audit trails, evidence packs and compliance snapshots export to standard formats. Your records do not depend on continued platform access.
